Gathers the second Tuesday of the month at 6:15 pm for a potluck and meeting

Purpose
The purpose of the Community Life Team is to develop and maintain a sense of community within Jubilee. Specifically,
• Create a friendly, welcoming, informative and inclusive spirit within Jubilee!
• Provide opportunities for people to deepen involvement within Jubilee.
• Organize community-building events and activities.

In alignment with the purpose, the primary function of the team is to create, plan and coordinate events and activities that provide opportunities to deepen relationships and build community within Jubilee. A few of our projects are the Welcome Table, Café Jubilee, Chat & Snack, Business Directory & Networking, Jubilee Singles, Greeters, and Newcomers Initiative.

Monthly Meetings
Attendance at team meetings and membership in the team is open to all. Our monthly meetings are 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6:16 – 8:30 PM. We have a potluck dinner and strategy meeting to brainstorm projects, report project status, and provide support to project leaders and members. And have fun doing it! We meet at team members homes.

Join the CLT
The types of people who enjoy the activities in the Community Life Team are those who:
• Are committed to creating a solid sense of community during Sunday Celebrations
• Like to brainstorm, plan, coordinate, and facilitate events and activities
• Love talking with people, sharing their passion for Jubilee and helping them get involved in our community
• Get excited about bringing people together to deepen their relationships with other Jubilants
• Enjoy helping out at events – making it all happen!

Participation level in the team can be project leadership, project team participation or simply helping out as needed at events and activities.
• Project Leaders are responsible for leading a project within the team. Project Leads come to the monthly meeting to report status of their team and contribute to the overall leadership of CLT. For example, Susan Shaw is project lead for the welcome table. Andriette Kinsella is the project lead for Café Jubilee.
• Project Team Members are people who work with the project lead to make the event or activity happen. We love having project team members at the monthly meetings but it is not required. Examples are welcome table staff and Café Jubilee hosts.
• On-call Event Support are people who do not want to or cannot commit to regular team participation but can jump in to be a resource during an event or activity. These are people we can call while planning an event or at the last minute to see if you are available to help.

Big picture or detail oriented; leader or just helping out periodically -- we need all types of people and levels of involvement to fulfill our purpose. We would love to talk to you more about our team to see how you can become part of developing a sense of community within Jubilee!
