You Are Not Alone in Your Grief
…Tuesday, April 24th, 6—10 pm
Grief is as natural an expression of humanness as joy, and honors the losses of what we loved: family, friends, jobs, relationships, situations, etc. Unexpressed grief can be the source of stress, illness, and disease while the process of grieving can bring balance to the body and create space for joy to recolonize the heart. We will create a safe and powerful container together to share in sacred witnessing, body awareness, heart-opening music, and emotional release. This griefcircle will be facilitated by Josh Fox, who has offered community healing circles for over 8 years, inspired by the work of Sobonfu Somé, Laurence Cole, Martin Prechtel, and Stephen Jenkenson. Donation requested at the door, but no one turned away for lack of funds. Please bring a water bottle, cushions for sitting, pictures of people/things you have lost and anything you wish to add to an ancestor altar. Please arrive promptly (we will close the doors when we begin).

The Unruly Mystic: Saint Hildegard
…Monday, April 30th at 7 pm
International film maker Michael Conti will be screening the documentary, The Unruly Mystic: Saint Hildegard, at Jubilee! following the Creation Spiritualties Conference. Considered by many to be the patron saint of creativity, St Hildegard of Bingen was a 12th century German Benedictine abbess whose contributions as a musical composer, writer, philosopher, Christian mystic, healer, and founder of German scientific history are still talked about today. The film presents Hildegard as a powerful muse for allowing creative magic to happen in our own lives by letting the ordinary touch the divine, through the stories of scholars, theologians, nuns, musicians, artists, doctors, and healers. The length of film is 65 minutes, with a short Q & A after the screening with director Michael M Conti and producer Heather Boyle. Tickets are $12 at eventbrite.
