The Unruly Mystic: Saint Hildegard
…Monday, April 30th at 7 pm
International film maker Michael Conti will be screening the documentary, The Unruly Mystic: Saint Hildegard, at Jubilee! following the Creation Spiritualties Conference. Considered by many to be the patron saint of creativity, St Hildegard of Bingen was a 12th century German Benedictine abbess whose contributions as a musical composer, writer, philosopher, Christian mystic, healer, and founder of German scientific history are still talked about today. Her story is told through the words of scholars, theologians, nuns, musicians, artists, doctors, and healers. The length of film is 65 minutes, with a short Q & A after the screening with director Michael M. Conti and producer Heather Boyle. Tickets are $12 at eventbrite.

The Next Generation
…Wednesday, May 9th, 5:30—7:30 pm
The Next Generation is a new team formed to connect Jubilants in their 20’s to 40’s, creating a unique community while contributing to the vision of Jubilee!.  TNG’s May event is combining service with socializing!  We are putting together “care packets” to give to the homeless we see along the roadside, as a way to lift their spirits and provide useful items. Packets will include toiletries, non perishable food, and other valuable items. This will be potluck style, with plenty of time for socializing, so please bring a dish to share as well!  Questions? Contact Stefanie Beierschmitt directly at 828-450-6141, [email protected], or friend her on Facebook. Also, join our Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/thenextgenerationofjubilee/) for details on all coming events.
