Save the Flowers
…Friday, May 10th, from 10 am to 2 pm
Costa Farms tosses thousands of flowers that can’t be sold to stores. So…save the flowers!  Bring them to your home to beautify your yards and gardens.  Costa Farms is located at 1468 Bear Creek Road in Leicester.  All funds raised by this sale will go to the Jubilee! Outreach Baskets on our Altar.  This quarter all the dollars collected will be used to support agencies that assist children and families.

Join Us for “The Baptists Do It Better” Spaghetti Dinner & Talent Show|
…Tuesday, May 14 at 6 pm in the Garden Room
Okay, let’s admit it, when it comes to creating community through food and fun, the Baptists have a head start on Jubilants.  So…let’s make a change!  Join us on May 14th for the first Jubilee! Spaghetti Dinner & Talent Show.  We’ll have an old fashioned dinner (okay, we will have a gluten free option) with salad and dessert.  You bring your own beverages and your talent if you feel the calling. Beautiful people singing beautiful songs will be allowed.  But…more unusual and under appreciated talents such as nose whistling and gargling the national anthem will be looked upon more favorably! The eating starts at 6 pm and the talent show will begin when we feel the Spirit move us. The cost is only $5 per person to cover the cost of the food; however, the cost for an entire family is capped at $15.  Sign up to eat and/or share a talent on the counter in the Hospitality Room.  This is a Jubilee! Community Life Event, coordinated by Lauren Fortuna.

Something Rises, 2019

You will enjoy encouraging and outrageous poetry and stories accompanied by music provided Delia Lytle on flute, Jay Whitham on electric guitar, and Robert Thomas playing the keyboard. Admission is $10 but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please be aware that some adult language will be involved.  This event is a Jubilee! Community Life event.

Full Moon Labyrinth Walk
…Friday, May 18th at 8 pm
You are invited to join the Spiritual Journey Team at the home of Johanna Manasse, located at 220 Forest Knoll Court, in Weaverville. By the light of the moon, we will walk the labyrinth that she and her husband, Robert, created. The walk is a meditative experience.

Lost & Found: A Storytelling Performance
…Sunday, May 19th at 4 & 6 pm
We can get lost in a book or lost in a relationship. And sometimes we find untapped gifts or a mentor to guide us forward. It is these stories and more that come to life on the stage through stories, movement, poetry and film, created by Jubilants. Please join us on Sunday, May 19th at either 4 pm or 6 pm to enjoy the stories of Lost & Found. This show was directed by Barrie Barton and performed by your friends at Jubilee! Tickets are $15 at the door or on Eventbrite.  For more information, please email Barrie at [email protected] com.  As always, this event is sponsored by the Jubilee! Arts Team.

Spiritual Journey Gathering
Monday, May 20th, 6:30 to 8:30 pm|

Closed
Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day
The Jubilee! office will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. We will be back in business on Tuesday, May 28th.

We are still collecting… Reading Glasses for Haiti
Even though the medical mission trip to Haiti could not happen in March due to the civil unrest, we are still collecting NEW reading glasses for Jubilant Terry Deal to distribute when the trip is rescheduled. All strengths can be used, but stronger is better! Please place your glasses in the box in the Entry Area.

Looking for a Place to Park?
Yes, we know parking is a problem on Sunday mornings, especially at the 11:15 am Celebration.  But, Good News!  The new parking deck on Coxe Avenue directly across the street from the Post Office is now available and provides parking that is only a very short walk from our Patton Avenue doors. Over 600 spaces are available.  The cost is $2 for the first hour and a dollar for each additional hour.
