The Michael Jefry Stevens Trio in Concert
… Friday, August 25 at 7:30 pm
The trio will be performing original music from their recent CD release “Perfect Dream” as well as music from the Duke Ellington songbook. Members of the trio include Michael Jefry Stevens on keyboard, Rick Dilling on drums, Zack Page on bass and Wendy Jones, vocalist. A recent review exclaimed, “The trio delivered an hour-long set of traditional jazz to an appreciative audience of about 50. Titled “Mostly Ellington” the show included seamless renditions of music made famous by Duke Ellington. Opening the set was a smooth “In a Sentimental Mood.” A hopping “Jitterbug Waltz” came soon followed by a version of “Take the A Train.” A suggested donation of $20 per person is asked, but no one will be turned away. This concert is sponsored by the Jubilee! World Beat Band.

We Get Letters! Mostly, Notes of Appreciation…
The Jubilee! Compassion Fund assists individuals and families who find themselves in difficult places. Some are participants of Jubilee! Others are not, but who are referred by Jubilants or other helping professionals in our community. Here are but a few of the notes that we have received in recent days.
Dear Jubilee! Community,
It is hard to find the words to tell you just how I feel about what you have done for me and my children. I am thankful for the support from all those who helped make it possible for us to move to a new place. I will always be grateful for your gift to my family. Thank you again…
Thank you so much for providing a week of summer camp for a vulnerable child from our community.
It is very humbling to know that you are willing to help and you don’t even know me. Things have been such a struggle, no matter how hard I try…and then having a major issue with my car. I was needing a miracle. You have no idea how much this is helping me. With a grateful heart…
Thank you so much for helping a single mom and her three children not be homeless! With your support and help from others in our generous community, the money needed to move the family’s trailer was raised. Thank you for your willingness to help this family that you do not know.
