Nacho Mama’s Bible Study at Jubilee! Continues
…The next session happens Thursday, September 21st at 7 pm
Join us for a study of the Hebrew Scriptures led by five Jubilee! Ministers and one Ph.D. The purpose of the study reflects one of the purposes of Jubilee!: to lift the scriptures out of the stagnant puddle of religion and release them into the ocean of imagination and possibility. Participants are invited to bring snacks and drinks and, hopefully, a few nachos. 7 – 8:30 pm, mostly Thursdays.

Learn more about this amazing community and get on the path to membership. Join us for Pathways , Wednesday, September 27th. We meet at Hanger Hall (31 Park Avenue, North  28801) from 6—9 pm, learning about the history, values and culture of Jubilee!  You will hear about ways to get more involved and what it takes to be a member. Bring an appetizer to share. Beverages will be provided. Vortex & Crystal Grid Ceremony Excursion
Meet at Jubilee!  on Saturday, September 30 at 10 am. Led by Jackie Dobrinska, Rachel Fressa & others
In honor of psychic Page Bryant who passed recently, Jubilee!’s Community Life Team is hosting its first ever Vortex and Crystal Gridding Ceremony Bus Excursion to heal the earth. A vortex “is believed to be a special spot on the earth where energy is either entering into the earth or projecting out of the earth’s plane.” Vortexes are found at sacred sites throughout the world, including Asheville, which we will be visiting.  Tickets are $20 and all proceeds go to the Compassion Fund. Optional: Bring a drum, rattle or singing bowl and crystals.

Drawdown: Solutions to Global Warming that Create a Just and Livable World
Creation Care Alliance’s 5-part book discussion on Tuesdays in October and November starts on October 10th, from 6 – 7:15 pm at Jubilee!  If you are interested in joining us, please sign up through www. Build a Home, Change a Life

The construction of the 19th annual Habitat for Humanity Interfaith House will begin on September 26th. Jubilee! has 4 workdays…Our first is September 26th  when we will be building the floor, followed by another workday on October 11th when we will be constructing the walls. Each workday is from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The location is near Lake Julian. No experience required. Signup sheets are in the Hospitality Room. Sponsored by the Service Team.

Evening Song

Evening Song is a service of the Jubilee! Singers who sing twice a month (the Second Tuesday at 10:30 am and the fourth Tuesday at 6 pm) at CarePartner’s Hospice Solace Center, located at 21 Belvedere Road off London Road. Questions? Earth Medicine Practice
Tuesday, September 26 from 7—8:30  pm.
The 4th and final session of Earth Medicine, Sacred Andean practices to open the heart, is coming with Suzanne Tebbe Davis leading. She will focus on learning foundation aspects to still the mind and open the heart by connecting with the elemental wisdom teachings of the Q’ero medicine men and women.  Participation is on a sliding scale of  $10—$15 for the class.

Making Mats That Matter

Blessing of the Animals
Sunday, October 1st at all Celebrations
It happens every year on the 1st Sunday in October which is also known as St. Francis Sunday. So, locate the pet shampoo, find the leash, and bring your pet to Jubilee! to be blessed. For the safety of people and other pets, we ask that all pets be under your control at all times, either on a leash or in some kind of container.

Remembering Heart & Earth
Sunday, October 1st from 6 – 8 pm
You are invited to a reception and viewing of  Deb Criss’ nature based paintings – acrylics with oxides anything from realism, to surrealism, with her own conceptions. She states, “I would get bored with a branded style. I paint what comes through at the time, which is, anything goes!”
