Sunday, November 22nd is Thanksgiving & Commitment Sunday
Bring your Thankful Spirit and your Commitment Card indicating your desire to support the ministries of Jubilee! Community in 2016. Commitment Cards will be mailed to Jubilants the week prior to the 22nd, but if you do not receive your card in the mail, no problem! We will have extras in the bulletins, on the Communion Table, in the Hospitality Room and at the Welcome Table. We consider giving as an opportunity for spiritual growth and hope you see it that way as well.
Poignant, Humorous, Tragic and Liberating Stories
Talking to God, a movement theater presentation directed by Barrie Barton and supported by the Jubilee! Arts Team, will be presented on Sunday, November 22nd at 5:30 pm in our Celebration Center. Come join us, as 13 women from 30 to 60 years old express through stories, movement, poetry, visual art and music, the question: Do we connect with God, Spirit or the Divine, and how do we connect? From various religious backgrounds, the cast members share poignant, humorous, tragic and liberating stories of their religious upbringing and lifetime explorations of the divine and their connections to it.
Joining the cast is poet and writer, Donna Glee Williams performing one of her poems and visual artists Tebbe Davis, Jan Harrison and Maureen Simon in a multimedia portion of the show. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.
