Not MY Kid! Preventing Adolescent Substance Abuse Series
…Three consecutive sessions beginning April 11
th, 6 – 8 pm. Attend one session or all.
              If you are the parent of a “tween” or teen, this workshop, presented by Kriya Lendzion, prevention specialist, addictions therapist and school counselor, is for you. April 11th: New School Drug Ed
Find out current substance use trends among area middle and high schoolers, the newest research about adolescent brains, and how substances impact them. Adults only.

April 18th: Preventing & Responding to Use
Learn what factors place adolescents at risk for early and problematic substance use, and what you can do to help them navigate healthily through temptations and pressures to use. Adults only.

April 25th: Creating a Win/Win: Parents & Kids Come Together
Guided discussions will result in a greater understanding of each other, clarity on family expectations and guidelines re: substance use, and an agreement for how your child can gain increasing trust and freedom through their teens.

The new Buncombe County parking deck on Coxe Avenue across from the Post Office is open and available for you to use. Enter on the north side of the deck on Sears Alley. It is a short walk to Jubilee! from this deck. The fee is $1/hr.

Starting a New Book
