The $1000 Giveaway!
…The Giveaway continues on Sunday, October 27th
On Sunday, October 20th, we gave away 100 envelopes, each with a $10 bill inside. This money is to be used as “seed money” for folks to use their talents to multiply the $10 into more. All the funds raised from our “Talent Project” will be donated to non-profits who work to assist those who are in need of heating assistance during the cold months ahead.
Let Us Tell You a Story
…Tuesday, October 29th at 4:30 & 7 pm|
You are invited to a story telling concert featuring Jubilant David Sharp with his good friends Papa Joe Gaudet and Gwen Ledbetter. Come at 4:30 pm for a family show and 7 pm for a more adult show. A $5 – $10 donation is asked, but no one will be turned away for a lack of funds. Let us tell you a story or two!
All Saints Day Bonfire & Outdoor Movie
…Friday, November 1st at 5 pm & 6:30
Join us at Hanger Hall, 31 Park Avenue, North, less than a mile from Jubilee! for our annual All Saints Day Bonfire. It is said that on the Day of the Dead the veil between this world and the next is lifted and communication may happen. So…we’ll share memories of our deceased loved ones, send them messages. We will also read, pray and burn the prayers from the Jubilee! Prayer Wall. This celebration will be led by Amy Steinberg and Jacquelyn Dobrinska. Then, stay for the Outdoor Movie — the Disney classic Coco. Bring your own blankets, drinks, food…it is strictly a BYOE (bring your own everything) and TYOE (take your own everything). We will have popcorn for sale.
Share Your Thankfulness
…Sign up to help starting Sunday, November 3rd
We are hosting Room in the Inn during the week of Thanksgiving. What a great way to share your thankfulness by helping make Room in the Inn happen. Drive, cook, be an evening host or overnight innkeeper for our unsheltered neighbors. Sign up in the Hospitality Room on Sunday, November 3, 10 or 17. If unable to attend on any of those Sundays, just email Carol Greenspan at email@example.com.

Our Act Just Got Cleaned Up
…Bless David, John, Paul, Steve & Genevieve
A dedicated group of Jubilants shared their labor on Saturday, October 19th. They cleaned the carpet, washed windows, checked all our exit/ emergency lights, dusted our communion table & pulpit, cleaned up around the outside of our building and so much more. We express our appreciation to David Boyle, John Busse, Paul Muller, Steve Swearingen, and Genevieve Fortuna. Thank you for your dedication and gift of time.

Are You Busy and Curious?
We know that keeping up with the status of your pledge may not be Number 1 on your “to do” list! If you are curious where you stand, we will be happy to give you that information as we enter the 4th quarter of 2018. To find out, please email Don Fortuna, our Administrator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or call him at (828) 252-5335. If he is not available, just leave a message on voice mailbox 1 and he will get back to you ASAP. Thanks again for being a vital, contributing member of Jubilee!.
We Are Still Collecting Reading Glasses for Haiti
Even though the medical mission trip to Haiti could not happen last March due to the civil unrest, we are still collecting NEW reading glasses for Jubilant Terry Deal to distribute as the trip has been rescheduled for January, 2020. All strengths can be used, but stronger is better! Please place your glasses in the box in the Entry Area.
