Spiritual Journey Gathering at Jubilee Church, Asheville, NC
Death is something that most people don’t want to think about or discuss. But is it
possible that facing our mortality can inspire us to live our lives more fully?
Gerontology educator, author, and psychologist, Dr. Paula Hartman-Stein, will show
the documentary, Death Makes Life Possible, and lead a discussion afterward.
Death Makes Life Possible follows cultural anthropologist and
scientist Marilyn Schlitz, Ph.D., as she explores the
mysteries of life and death from a variety of perspectives
and world traditions. Interviews with mental health experts,
cultural leaders, and scientists explore ideas about
consciousness, the meaning of death, and how we can learn
to live without fear.
Produced by the Chopra Foundation and the Institute of
Noetic Sciences, the film looks at how popular culture deals
with the ever-present fear many of us have about our own
Death Makes Life Possible offers a deep and thoughtful exploration into the
ultimate question we all face regarding what happens after we die.
The program will be held at Jubilee Church, 46 Wall Street, on Tuesday
January 21 st , from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Cost is $15 at the door, but no one will
be turned away for an inability to pay.
