Say Yes to Life and Welcome the Spark of life with the Imbolc Ritual.
Imbolc is the Celtic Holiday – halfway between the winter solstice and spring equinox – when winter has lasted a bit too long and we look to the groundhog to see how much longer we have to endure. It can be a time when we feel like we are hanging on by the skin of our teeth, and in ancient Europe, this was the time of year when resources were running low and we didn’t know if we would survive.
In this darkness the ewe’s lamb, offering a shared life-giving source of subsistence. So we learn for them and during Imbolc, we learn to say yes to life even when it’s dark.
