Only One Celebration on Christmas Day at 11:15 am
…It will be a party!
On Christmas morn, we’re having a party. And YOU are invited. Instead of our regular morning celebrations, we will celebrate Christ’s birth with a birthday party at 11:15 only!  You are invited to bring munchies and drinks to share.  You may wear party clothes or just come in your jammies and robe.  Jesus doesn’t care about what clothes you’re wearing. We will sing Christmas Carols and share what it means that Jesus is born. Party on, Jubilants!

Three Celebrations on New Year’s Day
…at 8:30.  9:45 & 11:15 am
Every seven years or so, Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on a Sunday.  So…What should we do?  Believing that not too many Jubilants are going to be “up and at ‘em” on that Sunday morning at 8:30 am, regardless, we have decided  to have an 8:30 am Celebration!  So…please join us at 8:30,  9:45 or 11:15 am.  The Nurture Program will be happening at 9:45 am for the youngest Jubilants.

Post-election Grief as Fuel for Positive Transformation

This two hour gathering/workshop will be a safe space for you to be where you’re at with what you’re experiencing about the U.S. election & world events, express what you’re feeling and needing, and learn how to process painful feelings in healthy ways. We will look at practices for greater self-care, self-compassion and forgiveness, and what grief may be calling you to be or do. $10-$20 suggested donation. 30% of proceeds will go to Jubilee. Facilitated by Barbara Brady – Life Coach, Spiritual Guide and Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. You can email her with questions: barbara@mycoachbarbara.com

Talent Project $$$
If you have any Talent Project money to turn in, please place it in an envelope, mark it as “Talent $” and place it in the offering basket by Sunday, January 1, 2017.  We would like to get it into the hands of folks who need it. The dol-lars will be split with 40% going to the Eblen Foundation, 40% to Swannanoa Valley Christian ministries and 20% to the Heating Fund of Mountain Housing Opportunities.

Now More than Ever!
If you have completed your Commitment card, THANKS!  If not, we hope you will complete one this Sunday indicating your desire to support the ministries of Jubilee! Community in 2017.  In light of the election results, giving to helping agencies will probably be needed more than ever. Your giving  will make Jubilee!’s giving possible.

Write Your Prayers
…Let’s make 1000+ flags
Have you noticed a lack of color in  the Celebration Center rafters? That’s because the 950+ prayer flags have been taken down and released (burned), clearing the space for a new batch.  On Sundays January 21st and 28th, you will have an opportunity to add color and blessings by creating your prayers. We will also  need help stapling and hanging the flags after the 12:15 pm Celebration on both Sundays. Join in this Jubilee! tradition.

The Western North Carolina Human Resource Association (WNCHRA) is pleased to announce current member and past-President (and Jubilant) Lynn Brailsford has been awarded the North Carolina Society of Human Resource Management (NCSHRM) Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award which recognizes North Carolina Human Resources Professionals for their outstanding lifetime accomplishments and/or contributions. This award is given in recognition of service to the HR profession, leadership in the business community, and service to the civic community.  Lynn continues to serve on the Jubilee!
