A Letter from the Transition Team to the Jubilee! Community
The members of the Transition Team are eager to share with you where we are in the process of helping the Board of Directors find a new Minister of Ritual & Celebration.

Friday, January 11th, was the deadline for receiving applications, and we are both delighted and excited to announce that eleven amazing individuals from across the country have stepped forward to express their interest in sharing their diverse talents to help Jubilee! move forward into the future. The Transition Team will be meeting soon to review these applications before forwarding them to the Board of Directors with our comments.

The Board will, during the next several weeks, schedule interviews with the applicants, eventually narrowing the field to three candidates. These individuals will then be invited (one per week) this spring to lead a celebration at Jubilee! These services will be video-recorded so that Jubilants unable to attend the celebration(s) will still have an opportunity to see these folks “in action.” It is also in the planning stages that Jubilants will be invited to meet with the applicants after each service.

We are confident that from this impressive field of candidates one will emerge to take us in both familiar directions and down exciting new paths. Imagine the possibilities!

Circling…A Unique Modality!
Series begins Monday, February 11th, 6 to 8 pm
“Circling” is a new spiritual practice, transformational modality and way of relating that is growing all over the world. It is a dynamic group process that is part-art form, part-skillful facilitation and part-relational yoga. It is also a unique modality that can be practiced one-on-one. During this 6 week course, you will learn some of the fundamentals of this practice which will ultimately help you to develop richer and more extraordinary connections in your life. Each class will include some teaching but primarily experiential learning where you will get to practice these relating skills with others in the class. The facilitators; Cathy Courtenay (trainer and partner at the Circling Institute) and Brett McCall, will send you home with exercises to practice in your day to day life. The cost of the course is on a sliding scale is $120 to $150 for the entire 6 week series, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Join us every other Monday starting February 11th through April 26th from 6 to 8 pm.

We want to celebrate Jubilant Daryl Rhymes who chaired the Martin Luther King Day Prayer Breakfast this year.  Over 1000 folks attended and the reviews were over the top!  Good work, Daryl!

The class will meet for five Wednesdays starting February 6th (not meeting on February 20th) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Suggested donation of $20 per class is asked, but no-one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Discover Your Soul Purpose
Thursdays, starting on February 7 at 6 pm
During this season of “uncovering, unearthing, unveiling” join Jackie Dobrinska in a process known as “The Four Desires” which helps individuals discover and remember their unique soul purpose.  This is not about finding the right job/vocation but rather uncovering the essence that drives you to get out of bed in the morning, move thru life’s challenges, and keeps you going through all stages of life.  It’s touted as a process to find spiritual and worldly fulfillment and freedom. Contact Jackie for more information or check out the Jubilee! website.  Pre-registration highly encouraged. Email Jackie at jldobrinska @gmail.com. Thursdays, February 7, 14, 21, 28 at 6 pm (a short break to percolate) and then Wednesday, March 20

2019 Budget Set
The Jubilee! Board met on January 28th and set our budget at $480,520 for the year. This budget tries to address the many “unknowns” that we will encounter in this year of transition.  Board Chair, Claudia Sherry, said, “2019 will be the most fluid, unpredictable year in Jubilee!’s history. Adaptation will be critical.”
