The Jubilee! Board and Staff are carefully reviewing North Carolina’s Phase 2 state guidelines as announced by Governor Cooper yesterday, as well as any changes that might occur in the Buncombe County guidelines. We are committed to ensuring your safety and that of every member of the Jubilee! community. Thus for the foreseeable future we will continue our online celebrations.
We know many of you are yearning for the personal connections that have been so much a part of the Jubilee! experience. Given that the new NC order allows “Gatherings of up to 10 people indoors and 25 outdoors as long as social distancing is observed,” those of you who choose to do so could consider gathering in small groups for Sunday morning watch parties. Or you may want to organize an outdoor gathering with other Jubilants as long as you meet those requirements. Please note, however, that singing in a group of any size is considered a way in which COVI-19 could be spread.
As we at Jubilee! learn more about COVID-19 and how best to deal with it, our path forward will become clearer. We will continue to share the latest developments via social media, our newsletter, our website, and our Sunday celebrations. In the meantime, we send light and love, health, and wellness to each of you.
